FOPABOMB - THE CHESTERTON WINDMILL

The Chesterton Windmill is one of Warwickshires most famous landmarks an stands on the hilltop of Chesterton since nearly 350 years!!⠀ ⠀ It is near the Roman Fosse Way and about five miles (8 km) south-east of Warwick in England, UK. ⠀ ⠀ The windmill stands on six stone pillars, supporting two raised floors and was built in 1632, impressively it worked until 1910 when its machinery broke down. It not clear if it was originally intended as a functional windmill, or as a folly - an observatory has been suggested, which in many ways makes more sense.⠀
